So, I am using my German and asking what the gutters are called in German so that I could make a comment about all my gutter balls.  Only to find out, that Germans do not distinguish between the gutter and the lane.  It is all one piece called the Bahn.  Oh, well.  Talking about the gutter area as the blue area is just not the same.  :)

Homemade chocolate pie!  Tasted good too!  I'll have to try it again for Christmas! Yum!  And I am not usually a fan of chocolate pie.

Found this in the American Isle.  Um, I'm thinking this to not be as tasty as the Germans think it would be.  So early in the morning too.  Is this an item in America?

My Bus Pass:  Can't leave home without!

An interesting German meal similar to our American meal.  Mac and Cheese (with a twist by adding tomatoes and bacon) and a hotdog so to speak (called a wurst in Germany) with spicy mustard for dipping.

One of the old fire engines.  Notice the green cone on the side.  two men had a green cone.  One dipped water out of the barrel and dumped it into the second which was carried like a backpack on another mans back.  Thus these two men would keep the water resevoir full.

I discovered my hidden talent this summer at training.  It is sewing!  Here is a rag quilt that I made.

Fall Carnival season in Kandern.  Residents are letting it "all hang out."  Yes, that is underwear you see hanging over the street.

Brette, the beautiful bride being walked down the isle by her daddy.

Yum, a great German snack after school.  The pastry is not too sweet--very un-American.  The Mezzo Mix is Cola with orange flavoring.  Doesn't sound very tasty but it is.

Jack and Coke in a can sold at your local grocery store.  Who'd have guessed.  Only in Europe can you get Jack and Coke in a can.

This picture did not make into the "Do you live in a Disney movie" blog.  I think more of Florida Keys than I do Europe when I walk/drive by these apartment buildings.  What you do not see is the other building to the far right which is a bright green color.  You can spot these buildings from afar!  It makes finding your apartment easy if you live in one of them.

One of three antique motor bikes on show at the celebration.

Here are a few more items I learned how to sew.  A pot holder, coin purse, and coasters.

Storch's nest near the Girl's Dorm, Storchenblick.

Brette's Grandfather officiated the wedding ceremony.  Here the parents are praying around the bride and groom.
